Local photographers from Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, and Gallatin have been recognized for their stunning wildlife photography in the Tennessee Wildlife magazine photo contest. Among the 14 winning photos selected by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, three photographers stand out: Steve Cornelius, Timothy Loyd, and Kipp Shipley. Their images will grace the 2026-2027 Tennessee Wildlife magazine calendar, starting in August. This year's contest attracted a record-breaking 1,468 submissions, with the majority of winning photos coming from the East Tennessee region. However, the inclusion of Cornelius, Loyd, and Shipley's work from Middle Tennessee is a notable achievement, as they were among a small minority of photographers from their region to be recognized.
